OUR STANDARDS
The Pure K standard, in the open.
Transparency starts here. This is what our certification actually verifies — published, so you never have to wonder what the symbol means.
RADICAL TRANSPARENCY
Most agencies keep this private. We publish it.
We believe a kosher symbol should be something you can understand and verify — not a black box. Below is what every Pure K certification requires, what our designations mean, and the commitments we hold ourselves to.
WHAT WE VERIFY
Every certification covers four things
Ingredient Sourcing
Every ingredient and sub-ingredient is traced to its source and supplier and confirmed kosher.
Equipment & Production
We review the production line, shared equipment, cleaning, and kashering where required.
Correct Designation
Each product is classified and labeled accurately — Pareve or Dairy.
Ongoing Supervision
Periodic, sometimes unannounced visits keep standards intact over time.
WHAT THE MARK MEANS
Reading the Pure K symbol
The letters beside the symbol tell you a product’s exact status:
Pure K
Pareve — contains no meat or dairy and made on pareve equipment. Pairs with either.
Pure K-D
Dairy — contains a dairy ingredient or made on dairy equipment.
Pure K-P
Passover — certified kosher for Passover.
AVAILABLE ON REQUEST
Stricter standards, when you need them
When your market observes them, we certify these additional standards — clearly labeled so your customers know exactly what they’re getting.
Cholov Yisroel
Dairy from milking supervised start to finish.
Pas Yisroel
Baked goods with the required Jewish involvement.
Yoshon
Grain verified by harvest and milling date.
